The Weird and the Wonderful Publication If you venture deep enough into the ocean, you can discover a world on our planet that feels almost alien. Animals live there that have never been seen before and have only been documented by scientists a handful of times.

The EV Nautilus is a 68-meter-long (223 ft) research vessel owned by the Ocean Exploration Trust and commanded by Robert Ballard, the explorer famous for discovering the wreck of the Titanic. Its accompanying YouTube channel, EV Nautilus Live, posts videos of their discoveries, accompanied by footage and enthusiastic commentary from scientists. These researchers don’t take themselves too seriously and share their observations with infectious enthusiasm.
